Replacing Your PA Driver's License: Things to Know

PA License ReplacementA replacement Pennsylvania duplicate non-commercial driver's license is only issued when the current license is lost, stolen, mutilated, never received, surrendered out of-state, or needs change in organ donor status.

*If you have not reconciled an outstanding sanction(s) in another state(s), Barbara McMullan's Auto Tags will be unable to issue you a new driver's license. For more information, please see the National Driver Register Fact Sheet.

In order to get a replacement license you must go through a short, but important process:

  1. Complete Form DL-80 “Application for Change/Correction/Replacement of Non-Commercial Driver's License
  2. Make a check or money order payable to Barbara McMullan's Auto Tags for the appropriate fee
  3. Either bring in the form in person or mail to Barbara McMullan's Auto Tags at 475 E. Church Rd., King Of Prussia, PA 19406
  4. If your picture is on file, you will receive a duplicate driver’s license with your current picture. If no picture is on file, you must come in to the office so that we can get a current picture for your license. This step must be completed in order to obtain a photo driver's license.
  5. Notify to local police. While this step is not mandatory, notifying the police of your lost license is strongly suggested. In the rare chance that it is found and illegally used by someone to commit a crime or any other devious act, you can spare yourself some hard questioning by law enforcement officials by simply informing them in the first place.
